The shaky first steps
So here is my first blog post... I've never done this before but lets just start talking.
My name is Adrian and I have always been sort of an outcast with people. while most were following trends, I knew that these trends were a waste. I never understood the need to pay 300$ for shoes that you are guaranteed to grow out of (when I was in middle school) of course as an adult that kind of changes as you become locked into a shoe size. In saying that I had/have my own flaws. I love gaming, and sharing my gaming experience through youtube. I spent years putting up content on youtube, and while I did gain some sort of success that was stopped with the death of my grandmother. Its been almost a year after her passing and something has changed in me. I
I've gained a new passion that is the want to better myself financially, and overall is the main focus of this post.
They say money doesn't buy happiness and while that is true having control over money allows you to do what makes you happy without issues. I've seen the great things that people who control money get to do in life and I have always wondered why cant that be me. well I found out why that couldn't be the old me. It was my lack of knowledge on how to control money that made it impossible for the old me to obtain control over money.
If you notice I am not saying I want a lot of money that is because I believe that having money doesn't mean you control money. There are many people who come into big money through different means (lottery ect) but they become broker than before they ran into money. Why? Because they dont control money.
Controlling money basically means that money comes to you no matter what happens. To most people they cant believe that's possible. well it is and I will be talking about how I plan on making this happen.
My gateway to controlling money will be through Real Estate. For those who may not know real estate is land and buildings. Now how can someone control money in real estate simple if you are a land lord and your mortgage is lets say 1000 a month (this is just an example) and you have two units or apartments to rent out. if they both pay 600$ in rent 600+600=1200 that is 200$ over what is due on the mortgage monthly and it goes straight into your pocket. That is controlling money. and that 200$ will continue to come to you as long as both units are rented out.
Now that I've gotten that long introduction out of the way lets talk about my ventures. I am 20 years old a college student and I have a part time job. Most would say its impossible to get into real estate at this point and that is not entirely true (I will explain more in a future post). I am still in my learning stages in this process but I hope to complete my first transaction soon. My issue now is taking those first steps that can help create my success story. I found a local meet up for investors in my area and I will be attending , and while I am excited to finally be face to face and personal with investors I am nervous. what if i say something stupid, what if I annoy someone and leave a bad impression. What if I am too nervous to talk to someone. These are the things that are running through my head right now. But I want to say this I will be trying my best during this meeting and in my next blog post I will talk to you guys about my experience with local investors in my area.
